SteelGuard XL rejuvenates pavements in Pearl City, O’ahu Island, Honolulu County, Hawaii
A number of road sites across Pearl City were oxidising and ageing, especially with a warm tropical climate. Honolulu County applied SteelGuard XL as part of their pavement maintenance and waterproofing programme. This video shows several aerial views of SteelGuard XL being applied in 2015 in a cul-de-sac, suburban collector and arterial roads and at intersections.

PRO|LOCK is a specialised bituminous protective coating that treats interlaced cracking, reduces water intrusion into the subbase, provides a new surface profile for coarsed asphalt pavement surfaces.
Locks the existing aggregate, binder and fines in the asphalt matrix. Designed to extend the life of asphalt through preventative maintenance rather than remove and replace.
Designed to be used as an underlying base to remedy or build up deformed or cracked surfaces and used in conjunction with SteelGuard XL.
20 litre pail plus 10 litre pail of RaynGrit, blended together when ready for use. Coverage subject to existing texture, typically one mixed pail will cover 13m².

BRP Road Patch has significantly reduced the time and resources required to fix potholes across the Tauranga City Council network. This case study profiles how BRP Road Patch has been adopted as a holding strategy to manage deteriorating pavements as well as a permanent repair on chipseal surfaces where there is a strong pavement surface.
